I'm looking for insurance for my S15 now.

It not my everyday car and I probably won't do much more than 1000miles a year in it.

For once im going to look after the car .
I trash most cars I own in the past.

Who do you guys use ? I want a good company that do limited mileage

Mine was 780 with admiral, 4000 a year mods disclosed on a drive.

My supercharged ep3 with 4000 miles, garaged, with a paragraph of mods is 460! with Green Light! That's mods REPLACED if claimed not just payed out. Give Neil at green light a bell. They take into account previous car history and everything. And track day ins is like 45. A+ service!

Admiral are good for the price but they are a terrible insurance company. I use sky at the mo, 612 fully comp with everything declared.

Recently got an S15 Spec R after having my Cherry Turbo stolen. Have had no end of trouble getting insured after my theft.
Finally ended up using Keith Michaels who were very helpful and quoted me £956 fully comp.
Be very wary of Adrian Flux. They gave me a great quote, just under £500 but when I tried to take out the policy I was told they could no longer insure me as they do NOT recognise a Spec R on their system, only a Silvia Turbo !

Sorry to hear that mate. Strange about adrian flux though, they managed to find my S15 Spec S on their system.

Atm I pay £750 for my S14 and £850 for the Evo VII. Me and the mrs on both cars fully comp.

Hoping the S15 won't be any more expensive to insure really, it's worth more but the mileage and where it's kept is better than the 14 .

Just it's hard finding somewhere to insure 3 cars at once for a good price :/

Mine is pretty good, definitely sub £600. That's with an Admiral multi car policy, it more than halved the cost from what it was before.

My first year was £1,400.

Greenlight Insurance

Whilst most of the mainstream Insurance providers target standard everyday risks and shy away from modified car drivers, our ethos has always been different. We prefer modified or specialist vehicles to standard vehicles and solely seek to provide cover to cherished vehicle owners who’s modified car is their pride and joy. Our rates are very much geared to this area and we prefer to cover vehicle enthusiasts as opposed to company or commercially used cars or other high mileage workhorse vehicles.

By their very nature, people that have taken the time to carefully plan, then invest in the enhancement or improvement of their vehicle by modifying the original vehicle with the addition of sports options or aftermarket parts are vehicle enthusiasts. We are an Insurance provider that understands modified car owners take pride in their vehicle and recognise that their vehicles are usually maintained to the highest standards.

The Modified car enthusiast often invests considerable time and money into their vehicle, which in itself demonstrates they care about their vehicle. They are a true specialist market and fall squarely within the domain of the vehicle enthusiast, which is exactly where we seek and have continued to provide Insurance cover."

Sounds good, I'll have to check them out when its renewal time. They do make it sound like BMW's are super scary rwd cars though, that you require vast experience to pilot.

Sky Insurance are competitive and I haven't had a problem with them so far.

If you are phoning around the companies that specialize in Insurance for modified cars just make sure you let them know you are a member of forums as they will apply a discount.

£703 for my admiral renual,
just turned 22
2 year ncb
10000 miles
mods declared.
i paid £900, at 25, for the first year of ownership on the same car with Sky insurance (that was the cheapest I could get). Then £660 at renewel(did just as much shopping around as the first time but semmed to work better, weird). Living in London doesn't help, I had an agreed value on the car and every possible extra that never got used. Don't buy a high powered Evo as for the same policy I had to pay £1200, last year, and I've barely used the car:wack:

i currently have 8 or 9 years Ncb, can't remember.
