I'm looking into buying some front fog-lights and came across nicely's stock ones.

Well my S15 didn't come with foggies, and it doesn't have the foglight switch on the light lever.
It does have the wiring though

So, can I just connect these lights to my switch for the rear fog-light?
Or do I need to get something in the electric line so I don't cook the lights or something?

That stuff might be inside the lamp housing though, but I don't know.

I was thinking that I could put the earth anywhere on the chassis
and run the power cable to the in-cabin switch for the rear fog-light. So when i Switch on the rear foggies the front ones light up too.

Just thinking about if I need any thing between the power source and the light.
Can't think of what it's called in Englsish.

I depends on the regulations relating to automotive lighting in Sweden. In the UK, you have to have front fog lights wired so that they will only come on with at least the sidelights. This is often done via a fog light relay. Some cars are wired so the the front fogs ONLY come on with the sidelights, i.e. they go off when the main headlights come on.

The S15 fogs come on with the sides and headlights. The stalk switch (see photo) turns the sides and fogs on at the same time and can be used totally independent of the main headlight controls. The setup benefits from using the lighting warning chime. Don't turn the front fogs off after turning the engine off and the warning chime will go off, just like if you leave the headlights on.

The relay is contained in the engine bay fuse box. See the fuse diagram.

thanks
i definetly don't have the same stalk switch.

I thought about just connecting them to existin harnesses for the front fogs. But then I probobly wont be able to control them.

Do I need to connect the foggies with that relay?
Or can I simply runt it to the rearfog switch and control it with that?

As I said, it depends on your lighting regs... I suspect you can do that, but don't know if its allowed :)
To be honest, I don't think so :)

I don't think it's legal to install them so that the can be illuminated while the headlights are on.

But they cant check that if they aren't working when MOT comes ;)
