Just wondering how much the average S15 weights.
Nissan Japan states 1240kg (or was it 1260) for a Spec-R S15.

My car was 1360kg when I registered it here in Sweden.
That is calculated with all fluids in the car and a 70kg driver is added.

How many of you have the weight of your cars?
Would be nice to have a figure as I don't know how the japanese calculate their weights.

Mine is registered as 1240 , but i dont know if it weights that or not
That's probobly from the japanese papers.
It might be dry weight. But that would make my 1360 seem abit low.

could be that my tank wasn't filled up.

1240+70=1310kg That would mean that 50kg was fluids and maybe spare tire.

Would it not be weight with fluids?, or maybe half fuel?

Have you had your car weighed?
My car has been weighed. It's a part of the Swedish registration process.
But they don't care how much fuel it has got in it.

I don't think the S15 with fluid can weigh 1240kg considering my car was 1360kg.
remove the driver weight which they added and it's 1290kg. I'm sure my tank wasn't filled up, but all the other fluids was present.
So I reckon a fully fueled S15 without a driver should be around the 1320kg mark?

Anyone else weighed their S15s? Would be nice to have some comparisons.

I dont think you will ba to far wrong there , its sounding more and more like, half fluids, or all fluids but no fuel.

take my word.

It is exactly 1370kg with myself in including full tank of gas.

Yes you may suspect why it is low but changing muffler is actually weight reduction too.

without myself, it weighed 1300kg so there you go :)

Hi,

I have recently weighed a S15 n/a auto which is standard except for wheels.

It was 1223kg with less than 1/4 tank of fuel. (No persons in car)

I used Longacre 4 scales system, 1 under each wheel, which is calibrated yearly.
