Hola

Ok, with the Stagea gone lol :wack: I sorted out my 'daily driver' cough 'mini project' last week by looking at a few cars but in the end settled on a lovely red, mint condition Lexus IS200 Sport with 90k miles on the clock.

I thought long and hard about my original idea of a small runabout vehicle but the missus was banging on about having 4 or 5 doors and all this rubbish about having summat more family oriented  I was trying to convince her a Yaris T-Sport is very family oriented but she won so I decided sod it I'm getting an E36 323i or IS200!! :D

To me surprise there weren't that many 323i's about with mileage below 100k and I wasn't going to travel more than 30 miles to view my future daily driver!! So last Tue evening I went to pick up this cracking IS200 Sport which Ben had owned for about 5 years... only 1 previous owner before him!! We settled on £2,750 so was well pleased keeping within my budget

Before last Tue evening I was already on the blower to Leon @ EP Racing and had already ordered a Top Secret style front lip which arrived on the Thursday. This was my initial test fit:

Went on like a dream with only very minor trimming required on the ends :)

I've got a set of genuine AVS Model 5 rims lying about in the garage which needed a good home (had these from my S15 when she came over from Japan lol) so gave them all a clean and ready to fit after the tyres were swapped over:

Did all my prep work for the front lip (many thanks to Gav for all the advice on painting fibreglass!):

Quick shot of the dials:

Telford Exhaust chaps getting a new Powerflow rear can fitted (awesome straight six audio!!):

Olly, my lad helping me dry the base coat hehe:

And here she is after less than a week collecting her from Ben - upgraded AVS rims, prepped/painted/fitted TS style front lip myself and also nice sounding exhaust sorted

Cheers Vinnie - yeah love them dials!!

lmao Craig - this is definitely low key 'not messed with IS200'... if I was modifying like I will be with the future S14 track project, I'd have her stripped out and with supercharger before the summer!! :p :rotfl:

Thanks dude

I do like the is200, you will have to let me know what she is like on juice. My daily is getting a little on the knackered side now (200,000 miles), so might fancy an upgrade soon.

SR20DET is a bloody standard... and a good one lol

Adam - compared to the Stagea this IS200 is like a mega frugal turbo diesel lol... I'm getting around 200 miles to £40 worth of regular unleaded :)

When I had the Stagea, £40 (of Optimax) was getting back around 120 miles

Can't wait to get the coilovers fitted tomorrow!!! Will get pics up

Ha ha. Never a dull moment James.
Car looks good. Will definetly look better with the coilys on, oh and maybe a colour change on the wheels. Anthracite would look good. :)
