lol had to update 'For Sale' pics so went out at lunchtime today and spent 30 mins sorting out nice ones... makes it just that little bit harder to sell her up :rotfl:

C'est la vie :)

Cheers Adam :)

Front splitter goes right under car from where the front arches start so it's like a big 'D' shape underneath front end... guess it covers the underside of all the cooling parts like rad/FMIC etc...

Yep B&Q's finest wooden board that originally measures 1600mm in length IIRC lol :)

I've upped my DIY game - rather than doing the garden and fixing stuff there *boring* I hacksaw the splitter to shape (now have a spare as template). Then smooth off edges with good 'ol wet and dry. Then gets painted in all weather wood varnish black satin. Finally I drill all the holes to mount the whole lot and job's a good un

***UPDATE***

I am selling the car now. It's going for £8,000. Cut a long story short a friend of a friend has got in touch and really wants to buy her. TBH I'm tired of thinking about selling/keeping. With the Stagea RS Masa on the way and recent hassle with cops which resulted in car being impounded last weekend and costing me £150 to collect her back I'm glad to see her go.

Sounds criminal to say it but I've had enough and lost interest. She's not practical for daily and now the cops are evidently out to Section 59 me for anything however minor grrrrr :( And before anyone says I can't afford to keep her as a track toy at the mo :p

She's being garaged up tomorrow and not driven till sold...

Cheers Adam yeah will get decent pics up of Stagea and maybe some ladies (with little clothing) next to her so she looks even better than normal lmao :D

Allan - first time for drifting on a small island in industrial estate about 11.00pm at night when there was not another car in sight. They were undercover and about 100m away so had no evidence since I'm sure there was no camera in the u/c car etc. I drifted for 2 laps about 6 seconds and started driving off home and they got me as I left the area. Sec 59 for 'anti-social behaviour' lol...

Last weekend I was with kids and cutting through another industrial estate on a Sun afternoon and it's a straight road for about 300m and I put my foot down for around 4 secs to get to the end of the road. Never saw the traffic car as I joined the straight section so they must have been way off and decided to follow me etc etc. Section 59 for 'wreckless speed' in his words. WTF? Yeah I was going quicker than speed limit but there was not a car and person in sight and an industrial estate on a Sun afternoon? Really fed up of their black and white bullsh*t enforcement and Sec 59's are now being handed out like sweets - judge, jury and executioner all in one go!! Yes.. I'm not feeling the love with the Silvia which is why I'm glad it's going.

Deffo coming back in a few years with a dedicated track/drift toy which will only be driven when I'm not on public roads so the cops can piss off :)

Bloody hell dude they sound quite bad down your way, I know what you mean though about the whole black & white with the rules these days though its a joke I got 3 point and a £60 fine for picking up my misses and her mate from outside a club in Paisley, out side it there is a aload of taxi's that park on double yellow lines and I went in front of them as thats where they were standing unknowen to me the front of my car was on zigzag lines. As she opened the door and started to get in a taffic police car came up beside me and told me to move on as the door was open I said give me to 2secs to get them in and I will be away, but no was told to go to the top of the hill and get in the back of the car as they checked the mot, tax, tires everything really to try and get some dirt as i was in my corsa at the time, to their supprise they relised I had been driving for a while and then took a back started playing the whole good cop bad cop crap but I tend not to try and argue the case with them as you end up worse off 99% of the time, but I think if i wasnt in my corsa and was in the S15 it would of been a diffrent story all together...end of the day they are all pricks :) lol

dude that sounded well harsh!! Ok parking up and leaving car is one thing but not allowing you to move on when they knew you were going to pull away.. yeah this is prime example cops aren't willing to just have a dressing down and as long as you don't argue back just let you get on and leave it be (unless they catch you again which is fair enough!)...

It must be quotas or pressure from senior cops or summat but there's a deep rooted psychology to treat everyone the same 'they're all scumbags we stop unless proven otherwise'... how about f*cking treating everyone decent unless proven otherwise by how they respond. Like you I just sit quietly or stand there without saying a word only to confirm what they ask me. They usually calm down after a 2 minute rant and prob don't like the fact I just don't react and leave it be.

But deep down I'm losing more respect for how they treat motorists constantly trying to pull you over and dress you down like you're a criminal. FFS get a grip!! And even worse is I'm sitting in the police station getting forms filled in to get my seized car back and someone's in there complaining there are young yobs pulling his wheelie bin over and the police at the desk were like 'you can get a video and yes you can try and prosecute but we don't like to hand out ASBO's here... we'd rather go round and talk to them' haha great thanks so yobs pulling over bins get a talking to and ASBO as a very rare last resort but motorists who like me are hardly drinking & driving or crashing the car in a wreckless manner or getting out with road rage punching someone gets Sec 59's and car seizure with £150 penalty????

Sucks about the price you're letting her go for! Defo worth more than that! Have you thought about holding on to her and selling her next year? You may get more that way?

And Streeto is bad mmmkay! :D

ano dude that was the 1st time over something so petty I got charged with,

drove through a bus lane in my Civic - was nice and understanding say I knew it was my fault etc then the police guy started talking to me about the CTR's so he ended up ripping up the ticket and giving me better directions to the place i was going :)

again went through a bus lane a week before xmas in the S15 last year - got brethalised and said "i wasnt drinking cause petrol cost enough as it is without a drink aswell" had a laugh with the 2 of them and sent on my way.

Undertook a bus on the motor way as it was in the outside lane doing 50! - explaned to them really i was a bit fed up looking at the back of the thing and just wanted away from it again clip round the ear and away,

you get the idea :)
so to say for the most of 5-10 seconds stopped when there was no really busy traffic etc and to get £60 fine and 3 points I was rather pissed off and was considering going to court had pictures of another car with a police car behind it parked in the same place and they didnt do him or any of the taxi's parked on the double yellow lines, but I couldnt risk it as seeing as its a bit of a gray area the whole thing to gamble on more points and more cash wasnt worth it....pricks :wack:

yeah this is what I mean you never know if you complain and try to settle it in court whether they throw the book at you. I'll deffo be doing this when my licence is clean again cos I ain't having some stuck up copper give me another Section 59 when they haven't blatently caught me red-handed and seem to have the proper evidence... I'll fight it more when I can risk getting points but TBH I can't see how they can 'make it worse' if I complain and fight back when they never seem to have the evidence like speed trap reading or in-car camera measuring my speed etc :wack:

honestly dude that lot are a world to their own if they dont do you with something they will pull another thing out the hat, One of my mates has a Evo 8 and he got pulled argued that they had no evidence he was doing anything then they brought the mob that test your exhaust levels & fumes and his evo went away on the back of a flat bed and was impounded till he had proof it was being re mot'd and pics of a cat fitted...some times its better staying quiet and shouting at them in your head :p

haha true!! Getting caught is the stupid part not what I do in her...

Funny how I get deemed 'wreckless' and 'unsafe' etc when in 3.5 years of ownership driving in all conditions, daily driving blah blah I've never damaged or crashed her?! Worst thing I've ever done is scuff wheels and bodywork. Even survived 10 laps of Nurburging setting Bridge to Gantry times of around 9:20 which ain't bad as a first timer lol.

mmm... I don't think the cops will take that ^^ as an excuse :wack:

Allan - yeah I can see that happening on mine and since speaking to a mate last night who's dad is a copper (not traffic), he says the traffic cops are mostly made up of guys who love fast bikes and cars which makes sense why they do traffic lol and if they all stick to the limit and don't use secret handshakes when they get caught by their colleagues then pigs must fly extremely high in this country!! :D
