Ok folks...

Sorry it's been a long time coming... I'm not usually slow with pics but had loads to deal with recently :wack:

Here are the pics of Martin's amazing Stagea with R35 GTR front end conversion   :notworthy:

Martin - hope you like the pics mate and please let me know if you want orig res without the signatures as I'd only be too happy to forward these onto you

And... how weird that now I'm selling my S15 I've just put down a deposit for this today hehe:

Series 2 1998 Stagea RS with Masa R34 front end conversion  Getting from Jurgen @ JM-Imports (top man!!)...

Not as grand as Martin's efforts above ^^ but still pimp daddy enough for da streets of Telford lmao :rotfl:

Cheers,

James

Awesome photos and awesome car too. It's hard to imagine just how much work goes into conversions like this.

There are threads about this car splattered around loads of forums now with very mixed reactions. Personally I think its an amazing bit of design and work. Well done Martin and the Littleknocks team :)

Big :smitten: for this car, it was so nice and look like it had just rolled off the production line. Top work :notworthy:. James good pic at usual  love the photo with the row of skylines in the background.

That was my exact feeling when I commited to buy the Stagea... loads of people will think wow there's an R34 GTR behind me and when I go past they'll be thinking WTF?? or FAIL!!! :p :D

Those conversions absolutely rock, but imo visuals only is no place to stop. if a car looks fast, it should be :p
For the R34, no problem. you can get serious GTR performance and kick some loser-ass ;)
With the new stagea tho, i would love to see an actual engine swap as well, utilizing the GTR muscles. Just a matter of time, im sure :D

What bothers me visually tho with Martin's conversion is the tiny rearend. the frontend looks stunning, big, dangerous.
the rear part just looks so...innocent! weak! especially in the first pic you see that clearly! think that car needs some serious widening on the fender-area in the rear - that would be really ace!

I love it,think you have made a good choice,at the same time I can see there is still a lot of tuning potential in this car dude so good luck fighting the itch lol

faxij - yes I think widening the rear arches would add another dimension but I'm not sure if Martin wants to keep working on her as it seems he's already given up a mental amount on this superb project lol!!

Cheers pegliobaglio - yeah it will give me the itch to do things but it's not gonna be anywhere near as much as the S15... and as I've said on the other thread I'LL BE BACK lol... who knows I might be buying someone's Silvia from here in 3 or 4 years time so can someone make sure they got one stripped out, rollcaged and seam welded ready for me haha :p

I've got to say I've had my head turned my your next car choice James :) as another family man with 2 kids I've been thinking about my next car to be a "do it all" type again. Looked at the Rs4 avant but that is probably out of my price range, but the Stagea look very cool (I do know about them but never looked in detial before), and I've always want the R34 :)

I will be wanting an update on how you get on with it.. But I bet modding it will be very hard to resist, and Skyline modding can be expensive..

Lovely pictures James as always, thankyou very much. If you could send me them that would be great.
And thanks for the comments guys, I know it gets mixed veiws, but that's what makes it fun!
It's got a feature along with my real R35 in next months Redline magazine and we've got a photo shoot with Banzai this week so keep an eye out!!
Your new car looks lovely James, we'll have to get together for some photos mate.

Oh and Craig, I've just bought an Access port for my GT-R and had it mapped to stage 2. And oh my god! You gonna have to pop by for a blast!

they're both stunners mate, about the only cool looking estate cars i've ever seen - in some ways cooler than a lot of jap coupes and saloons......is there an rb25 in your new stage'r'34?

This is quite a interesting change for you James ;)

Im liking the idea though as it sensible enough for family and still a turbocharged nutter with a 34 nose..

silly question, is it rear wheel drive?

Cheers fellas!!!

lol as we discussed this morning Tom on the phone and so everyone know's it's deffo RWD not the AWD version. I checked the chassis code which is WGC34 and since it's the RS version, it has RB25DET - same engine as the R34 GTT neo 24v so it's got 280 bhp as standard :D

In fact I didn't want AWD which comes with the RS Four or RS Four V and even RS Four S (top end manual box version!!) since I'm used to RWD, can probs have a play in the wet hehe ;) and I've heard AWD makes the fuel bill go up even more?! :wack:

Martin - really glad you like the pics and I'll fire the orig res to your email today  I also posted your pics on the skylineowners.com forum Stagea section and all the guys on there who all own Stageas say it looks fantastic! Someone even said it looks better than the Kids Heart version

Yes I'm well up for dropping down your end at Littleknocks and doing a photoshoot... might being some ladies for some modelling if you're ok with that since Redline and Banzai will be terribly boring without any half naked flesh against the cars lmao ;) :p

Cheers Wayne - Torque GT and JM Imports are the only two companies I'd be happy dealing with. Almost went for Accord Type R Mike had at Torque GT but when I saw the Masa R34 Conversion Stagea my heart was 100% decided by this point. Jugen's been brilliant so far :)

Adam - no worries I'll be keeping a thread about my next car on here (not sure which section tho lol) and I've already been speaking to Dan @ DB Power about dropping down to measure up brake discs and calipers so we can replace these with other common Nissan items. At the moment it looks like S14/15 discs will fit ok on fronts and front calipers can be upgraded to R33 GTS-t and possibly the GTR Brembos but we need to be 100% sure. The rears are crazy tho... I think the Stagea forum says the calipers are Nissan R31 fitment (has anyone seen an R31??!!) and the discs are not straight swaps and possibly need the diameters cutting down...
