Ok folks

Another set of pics and vids I put together from last Sunday's JTS event (Silverstone). Third year running I've been to same show and must say amount of visitors this time round was much less than the two previous years :( However, it was still a cracking day with BDC on show and managed to book ALL 4 of the available track sessions throughout the day haha :D You know me I'm a sucker for getting Silvia out for some fun!!!

I managed to gain entry into main paddock area and parked right in the middle of the traders section (courtesy of Knight-Racer friends woop) and JameS15 joined me on our little 'unofficial' stand haha. Well, I couldn't be arsed to walk from the main area to other side of carpark everytime I wanted to go out on track could I now?! :p As you all would know, the weather was scorching HOT all day and even in this heat Silvia coped well only hitting 120 deg on oil temp towards the end of each 20 min session... before I had oil cooler and went out on same National circuit, oil temp used to reach 120 deg within 2 to 3 laps!!! :wack:

I also promised Michelle (who was working as promo girl for Knight-Racer at the show) beforehand that she could pilot my baby on the last track session I booked. Bearing in mind she's never got out of first gear in a turbo RWD car she did brilliantly!! From the third video footage where there was a clear lap for me (no slow cars holding up) it seems I was lapping National circuit around 1:18. Michelle was foot to the floor from beginning to end of the session and never once had a scary moment - full control, full concentration. She would have lapped around 2 seconds slower than me max. I only really had to advise on some braking points and gear change info. Fair play the girl has real talent

Also managed to take Craig and James out as passengers... they loved it and hopefully next time we can get at least all 3 of us Silvias out at same time woop!!!

So here are the vids (thanks to Craig for shooting the ones of me on track from a distance):

Michelle actually tracked my Silvia in the last session - no exaggeration she was going fast for someone who had never driven a turbo RWD. She's planning on getting an S13 soon so we can track/drift at same time etc lol :)

Craig was hoping I wouldn't find a pic of him... too late :p Here's the man chatting to James. Top guys!!

VIP parking for James and I haha

Albert feeling the heat lol

Managed to say quick hello to Leon and the EP Racing guys

Dan with the SRB Power stand

I was there however the silvia didn't, didn't have enough time to put the dash back together! I could believe the lack of people that attended this event, on the way there we only saw one other jap car (it wasn't the fact the we were real early or real late either)! it was rediculous almost thought that the show wasn't on. Although attendance was low it was a great show. James shame i didn't see you to introduce myself and have a chat you spent a fair amount of time nailing it around the track and i think when you wern't on track i was in the grandstand watching the drifting!

Thanks for all the comments!!!

C1TPT - ah shame dude... see you at the Summer Meet lol!! :D

Tooley - you missed a good un mate and we sooo gotta organise track session together at next show ;)

Craig - you got T-**** tan I totally got the tank-top tan haha... was great to be able to take you out and the 3rd gear drifty drifty exiting Luffield earned me a telling off from the marshalls later in the day hehe

TurboAL - I was so busy sorting car for track and chatting to people I know around the show area I hardly watched the BDC :wack: Hope it was good but when I spoke to mate 'Bolfy' who was taking pics of BDC he said they were all over the place during warm up sessions and from what I could hear from the tannoy some of the runners were really struggling and I notice even Phil Morrison had to re-initiate after the first bend. I'm not sure if taking away the close walls going into Brooklands and also having no close wall on the exit out of Luffield into Woodcote is doing any favours as reference/clipping points are gone!!

Jez - I didn't realise Silvia was spitting so much flames until a few mates started telling me after the first track session. Guess the non-recirc installation of the SSQV is going it's bit haha?!

S15AK - yes I'm now running x2 spy cams all day. One facing driver in cockpit and the other on the wing mirror. Ghetto style masking tape to attach them FTW!!!! ;)

S15-Chick - cheers you guys really have stunning 15's!!! What bodykit is on your hubby's widearch? Is yours genuine Vertex? Both sweet rides :)

Allan - yes it still amazes me how grippy tracks are in general but Silverstone on a hot, dry day... it was near impossible to get the backend out even if you wanted. You had to properly turn in and clutch kick to get her sideways... so much grip on the surface!!
