Thats cool. I'd love to have a play ground like that near me! I went there in my last S15 on the way back from Switzerland but it was closed to the public as there was a Porsche event on. What bonnet is that you have Benne? Looks very nice. :)

Awesome vid Benne!! And must say your lines look identical to racing cars I've been watching on YouTube so I take it you are pretty familiar with the Nordschleife?? :)

I've booked to go this year (first time)... 25 - 27 June woop!!! Can't wait... been wanting to do this for over 6 years :wack:

Is it worth booking the Ring Taxi with Sabine??

Hey Benne, I love your car mate. I see you have a few subtle aero mods (tyre splitters, extra grill intake cut out and blanked off the side vents in the front bar). Have you done anything else? undertray etc.?
Mainly interested as you are clearly doing speeds where it would matter.

Very nice driving on the Ring, good full use of track including run offs and hitting the Apex's nicely, very brave! :)

pretty familiar? hmm... nearly 200 laps now, but 200 laps there mean still learning ;-)

End of June sounds good! Hope to meet you there!
Is Michelle comin ´with you? ;-)

Sabine is great, she´s a lovely person and a superb driver.
Ring Taxi would be great with her but: it´s only 1 lap and its while a lot of slow cars are on track.
If you´ve got bad luck, she has to slow down at the best corners...

So give that money to me and I´ll take you 10 laps in my car :)

At race speed THE problem is cooling! You need to do EVERYTHING what is possible to keep water und oil cool.
I installed a Mishimoto radiator to cool the water. The external Oil cooler is mounted in the right side vent of the front bar (what looks like blanked off).
I removed the stock hood lock to let the air pass through the self made grill intake into the mishimoto radiator.
I also installed a cooler for the power steering fluid. Gearbox cooler will follow.
Undertray is only modified at the front.
The gap between cars´ nose and Chassis is closed so air has go through the radiator.

haha yes really hope to be able to meet up. I'll PM you when it's closer to the time and let you know times etc :)

Unfortunately Michelle won't be able to make this :( but I'm bringing Kelli Smith ;)

If you're around I'll definitely book you for passenger laps... as much as I'd love to experience Sabine's driving skills, I'd love to be taken around in an S15 going all out!! :D

Cheers

Thanks for the reply mate, and sorry for my delayed reply. I Have owned an R32 for 5 yrs now and really only check these forums every fews months, funnily enough, each time I decide I need an S15 in my life?
They're some great shots of you running the gauntlet.
I'm a BMW tech from aus, so I learnt very quickly about the less than adaquate cooling systems on import nissans (shopping trolley spec). If it's not to personal, are you from Germany originally and what do you to earn a Deutsche Mark?

Yes, I´m from Germany and still live here. I´m sure I´ll live here forever cause of Nuerburgring ;-)
We don´t have the "deutsche Mark" anymore, european currency is the "Euro" since 2002.
I work for ifm electronic, we have also a branch in Australia: http://ifm.com/ifmaus/web/home.htm

Nice. I would love to have a go at the nordschleife some day.
Did you time your lap? If so, What is the best time you've got in the S15?
