N'ah, I was kidding - It makes absolute sense. I've never done a track day but if I was about to start, I'd do it somewhere without walls or tyres initially so if I lose it there's nowt to hit. If there was any chance of me hitting something I'd get insured!

Track insurance cost a packet and has an outrageous excess (10% of the car's value), but its worth every penny.

This photo, taken at the UJCC track day at Combe last year, says why...

No impact, nothing round him except hay. He'd just got the car back after getting ?6k of work done on it.... Interior was melted and smoke damaged, skirts melted, etc... Didn't have a fire extinguisher either...

All round  that must put dust everywhere when you brake.

Yeah, but you also said you've got no money, and that's one of the reasons why :p DS2500s are twice the price of Project Mu Streets. The Streets are never going to fade on the road and are just as good in that environment. It took 3-4 laps of 120mph braking to make them fade...

i ran DS2500 on a 911 for 3 years, that got some really hard road use and i found them excellent :notworthy: (if not a bit dusty) and i'll be getting them for the s15 asap, cause the standards are brutal :ghey:

My brake pads leaves no to little dust :)
But their the stock ones so braking isn't very good.

When they die. I'll probobly upgrade to Endless SSS for street, and either DS2500 or N-Brake NA-P for track

The endless SSS are pretty cheap on nengun (back and front) and should do for street use.
