Hi chaps,

Just thought I'd post up some new pics I've done of the Silvia since getting the vented front wide arches fitted plus Rota GTR rims slapped on the car hehe... Comments welcome as always!! :)

Big up my mate Daniel San @ SRB Power for supplying these and boy did they arrive prompto the week before Christmas!!! Cheers Dan

And here's a bit of marmite... thinking about colouring the wheels should I get bored of the gunmetal but at this moment in time, I'm absolutely lovin' 'em

Cheers - J

Awesome pics as always mate :)

Are you going to space the rears when you get your wider rear arches too or will they fit nice?

Cheers mate :)

I have a good feeling they'll fit ok even though they are supposed to be +50mm... since it's only the very top part above the wheel that is +50mm and these fit over stock skirts and rear bumper etc, it won't look too aggressive so don't think the wheel will be 'lost' under them... well I'm hoping for this result anyway haha :wack:

I will be interested to see the wider rear arches on as its something I would like to do on mine so I can put some proper tyres on it and not the rubber bands from japan it can with. Which ones are you looking to get full replacement or the overlay ones? Also have you had any problems with the towing eye from the police? Its just the DW site said they are not for road use but I dont know or see why it would be a problem.

Love the rims, better that the old ones IMHO and the vented arches suit the car too. looking very nice.

Cheers fellas :)

Suspect - the rear arches will be like the ones EP Racing sell... overlays on the original panel so my current arches will need to be cut away cos they're rubbing *doing my head in lol* Never had a problem with cops and the tow hook - gonna get one fitted to the rear very soon!!

Dean - the front vented arches were bought off DomS15 so not sure where they originally came from. I think they are most likely ones that EP Racing sell but not sure which version as there's a few different styles of copies available from those guys. Fitment wasn't exact and the bodyshop had to shave bits off and add fibreglass to help reinforce areas where the bolts attached them to the car but all in all, they painted ok and look sweet :D

Whats the score with the sh!t shields when you fit wider arches? Can you still use them effectively?

Nice car, and camera work!
Looks nice with it's fresh wheels!
Cheers dude :)

Craig - do you mean the original wheel arch liners?? On the front they just come up short around the top of the new arches so no big deal... liners still cover the part that would have effectively thrown crap to behind the doors etc so it's all good

Cheers dude :)

I know some people like the look of the spokes being 'tapered' at the back and straight on the front but for me, it's a no no... I thought I'd be bolder by ordering 9.5JJ +30 for the fronts and with 10mm spacer there's absolutely no issues. Yes the steering feels slightly heavier and she tramlines a bit more but nothing major and I've already done plenty of fast road + drift manoevures hehe ;)

Also no full lock problems either.
