Hola,

Here's the first vid from DWYB yesterday - had a blast!!!

The double-kidney was covered in oil and mixed with the general wetness from the rain it was crap for drifting (understeer = bad times). Was gonna use this track as the main one for the day but when Richy went past and was shouting at me to get my ass onto the EDC big boys track I though feck it 'might as well'... never looked back hehe :D

Footage taken on my iPhone which is why it looks tall and narrow?! Used the mobile phone suction mount holder thing which works a treat!!

Enjoy :)

Will upload another vid tonight ;)

Edit: here's the second vid (more action and lots of Richy 200 lol) >> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S9_0DvvuWjs

Cheers,

James

I was there, just never drifted. I was the guy in the Pewter S15 with the white grid drifts. You flashed me (your lights ;)) when I was on my way out :)

Looks good, did you manage any more by the end of the day?

The EDC track is where its at, soooo much fun in the dry!

I should be at a few dwybs later this year, dependin on when I can get my 15 registered.

S15AK - ah yes dude... soz about that confusion!! :wack:

Ryan - the vid was just about my last outing... was getting the hang of linking the turns but it was my very first time on the EDC track. I've been chatting to Dan Chapman on Facebook who's given me some sound advice after seeing the same vid... reckons I'll need higher entry speeds and keep the angles straighter, less throttle which prevents backend coming round too early. Also more speed, less wheel spin means I can move forwards quicker and link up the turns much better!!

Can't wait for the next one - got so much to practice on

BTW - here's the second vid which shows more of the day and some other rides (like Belinda's Liner and Richy's two tone beast haha) :D

Cheers mate...

Yeah we had a blast!! Was pretty busy - looked full to me and was nice to see some other 15's plus a few other Jap drifty machines :) Usual assortment of old Beemers, a few Liners and the retro Fords were awesome!!!

Can you believe I've cooked my clutch - been about 5 months since I got the Exedy upgrade and it's fried FFS??!!
