Hi folks

Well it's been very quiet from me over the past few months cos I've been busy doing more and more professional photography jobs (on top of my day-to-day job lol) :wack: So I'm back with a vengeance as I want Silvia ready for some track action at JTS, Silverstone in May

It was time to sort the suspension so I ordered some Tein Super Streets including the pillowball top-mounts and last Saturday, set to work with some mates to get these fitted. Not too bad... in the end the fitting took 2 hours and another hour messing with ride heights etc :)

Here's some pics...

So here she is although I've now lowered the fronts all the way to the bottom of the threads and raised the rears a touch higher...

And here's the latest photoshoot I did with Nicky...

Comments welcome as always

Cheers,

James

hmmm. mine looks lower than that at the front and I still have 3 threads left. Maybe it's the wheels on mine that make the difference. Bet you it wasn't as hard as you thought.

Yeah must say these Super Streets are amazing if you want a good upgrade and compromise for fast road use and general daily driving etc.

The fronts are definitely now at the bottoms of the thread so they don't seem to go as low as I expected but I'm ok with that cos I don't want really slammed - too many nasty speed bumps in my area :wack:

I've set the front hardness to 14 clicks and the rear to 10 clicks. At this setting I'm pretty happy for fast road as the rear end still behaves itself and doesn't do anything unexpected. These coilovers absorb bumpy roads very well and does not crash around but then the rating is something like 5/4 IIRC...

The turn-in on cornering feels a lot more precise than stock suspension and obviously even less roll than before. I can thoroughly recommend this system to anyone that's looking for a decent compromise

Very sweet, I think like you said to not go too low on the front as in most places the bumps and road carnage will batter the front. Looks tops bro.
