the story is, my motor has a mental pearl colour, not original , resprayed by garage impul ... an absolute pain to match . the last time i got it sprayed it wasn't very close(im a bit harsher) as its my car but is some what noticeable .

any ways as i was re-lacquering the carbon bonnet i got a mad notion to do the below with a can of matt black .

as of now , its been received 50/50 by my mates and family ....

whatcha recokon ??

don't worry you wont offend me , said id try it out as the bumper will be getting resprayed some time soon anyways due to a bit aul dirty crack comming off a speed bump :furious: .

by the way im happy as a pig in ..... over the way to bonnet turned out, i made a complete balls of it re-laquering it the last time ( being a bit niave thought id get away with using lacquer from an aerosol  ) .

this is what the bumper used to look like ***

Wow! F*cking wow!

Only one thing I'd say against it... move the plate to the front window. That really is lush

I like it too :)

How about extending the matt black along the bottom slightly, like on the aero bumpers..?

I like it but i'd be tempted to laquer it as the bonnet is wet look.
But either way i think it looks really good

I also agree with craig8585

When I saw the title I though Noooooo but that actually looks quite well..... I don't know that I'd go near it again though; the line you've chosen suits the bumper and a gloss black won't match the cf bonnet either so your probably better off leaving it matt, although it'll probably be prone to bad stone chips???

Plastikote make a matt finish lacquer in rattle cans which could be worth looking at but then again I may be wrong but matt definitely suits it, its more aggro than gloss

wow , i was expecting a mixed reaction , like ive been getting from a few of my mates.

some say it looks too agressive for a car that is subtly styled over all.

so so delighted with the carbon re done, i was going binning ( a probably really expensive bonnet - it weights absolutely nothing) . because i thought it was unfixable.

ya thats what i was afraid of but it didnt turn out too bad, kinda looks like the s15 aero kit jumbled up with a uras front.

i think if i lacquer it , it may look too shiney and take the mean look off it.
