If you're still running an Air Flow Meter you will have to recirculate the BOV to stop it. Changing the O2 sensor wont do anything but cost you money and will eventually end up like the one you have while you vent the BOV to the atmosphere.

Hi Auss
iam running

Garrett gt2871r
hks ssqv3 BOV
boost vavle
and a remap

do i need to have my bov recirculating i didn't have it recirculating because i really like the sound but could it cause me any problem. i actually bought the car standard and and asked for a aftermarket bov to be fitted so haven't driven the car with out but it does feel like the throttle response isn't what it should be and can sometimes hunt below 1000 revs but very rarely. is this right what iam saying is it the bov causing this, i no the sr20 don't like bov especially when not recirculated but just want a peace of mind that iam not causing harm or spending more on fuel due to lack of recirculation
Thanks Luke

Luke I have a hks blow off valve, fitted down by the battery. With the bungs to block off the old pipes (pigeon mod/turbo chatter)
i don't have any issues with running because of it. Mine was remapped with this on so it will be fine, the only downside will be coming off throttle it's slightly less smooth and stable, and then when coming back on throttle quickly after letting off you will have more lag than a recirc.
So if you plan on remapping it I would get the bov recirculated as it makes it smoother to drive and less turbo lag!

Luke, how much boost are you running? Yes, hunting can be caused by BOV especially if you have a stiff valve spring in the BOV or have it adjusted to tight. If its not tuned to venting to the atmosphere then you will have idle, overfueling and fouling plugs O2 sensor and killing your CAT.

As S15 SAM said you will have more response and power (over fuel causes power loss) if you recirculate.

Iv'e got a 2871r and making 335HP with a modified stock BOV recirculated

Thanks so much for the information lads, iam running 1.0 bar of boost and its fitted the same as Sams though i don't no about the bungs (i didn't fit it) and have the same identical problems as Sam, but don't really bother me as i love the noise as long as iam not causing damage to the motor but when i next get it mapped with the new parts i think i will have it recirculated, i had it mapped a little while ago and it did calm down the hunting. thanks alot for all the info guys
