hi,

just wondering what everyones usally sits at when been running a while? my mate sat in my car the other day and said the readings in mine are very high, made me worry haha.

dont have any fancy gauges but the factory engine temperature gauge on mine sits on halfway or just a little over. probably not the answer you wanted, but hey :)

I helped James (the original owner) fit the twin electric rad fans that are/were on your car. They were set to kick in at 90C and off at 85C.. This would be considered a normal temp to operate at. Oil is fine below 120 but should sit slightly higher than the water.

okay cool. i just wanted to double check because my mate had me worrying haha. yeh the oil does hit higher then the water. ill have to check readings when i drive home from work.

IIRC correctly fitting an oil cooler dropped everything to just right! So even cruising on the motorway I think about 90 deg (used to be about 100 deg).

You should only find oil temp hitting 120+ on a track session after a few laps or halfway around Nurburgring on a hot day lol :p

No idea about water as I dont have a gauge.
However oil temp for me sits at 90 oC normal fount town or 90-100oC motorway. 105-110oC absolute tops if I am pushing it.
