Hi all.
I'm looking at changing my headunit, and wondered if anyone knew which colour wires do what?
Hear also there is a wire I need to connect to power up the antenna booster?
What wire is it? Is it one that is connected to the aerial itself? and what colour wire needs connecting to what wire?
I have had a quick search, but can't find any definate answers.
Thanks for any help in advance.
Mike

Here is a copy of the wiring diagram out of the manual.
Electrical System 103.jpg

Colours are as follows.

B = Black
W = White
R = Red
G = Green
L = Blue
Y = Yellow
LG = Light Green
BR = Brown
OR = Orange
P = Pink
PU = Purple
GY = Gray
SB = Sky Blue
CH = Dark Brown
DG = Dark Green

When the wire color is striped, the base color is given first, followed by the stripe color as
shown: Example: L/W = Blue with White Stripe

Hope that helps.

Cheers all for the help.
Bought an autoleads cable for a 2000-> Nissan micra in the end.
Just needed to cut the earth cable, and join it to a good earth point, as the factory harness doesn't have am earth lead!
Must have earthed through the stereo casing out the factory.
Luckily had an aerial adaptor fitted already, which was handy!

I was going to say, just get a wiring harness adapter (>2000 micra four-speaker). I have two harneses in mine connected together, a sony -> ISO for my headunit, and an ISO -> micra to connect to the car.

As for the earth, it's meant to earth through the aerial, and should do if you hook the aerial up with an adapter (this way it'll work when pulled forwards out of the harness). Otherwise it'll earth through the case (quite a lot of current, you'll get big sparks if it's loose).
