memory cable

Hello Folks
Does anyone know which cable is used for the memory cable for the radio, every time i turn on the radio i have to re-tune the channels.
And its getting quite annoying so if anyone knows which it is be great

swap your red and yellow's

one is 12v switched and the other is 12v constant.

the wrong way round will mean the stereo works with no memory, the right way means the constant will feed the memory of the stereo.

That done the trick, the yellow is 12v constant. just out of interest how did you know as the connections were all done properly with connection blocks. Is it just the japanese way of wiring for jap radios as compared to uk radios????

Usually headunits fit right in on the S15. I know that VW and some other brands sometimes use the backwards way with the these cables. Your headunit must be optimized for such cars i suspect.

I had to switch the same cables when I installed a stereo in my VW Golf. Alot of radio looms has these two cables interchangable with some typ of connection.
