steering wheel swap: horn issues w/ HKB and Nardi

So i went to install my new (used) nardi classic. i have an HKB hub that the previous owner had. i stick the connector, the green wire, into the back of the horn button and as soon as the horn button touches the inner part of the metal hub the horn starts going off. any help would be greatly appreciated.

The horn on HKB bosses tend to work by creating the earth connection once a metal part on the back of the horn button touches then inside metal part of the boss that it sits over...

My assumption is that something is not right and sat correctly so it's constantly touching. You should have no metal to metal contact when you fit the horn and there will only be contact when you depress the horn button. Hope this makes sense! :wack:
