Not a silly question at all but bell wanted 450 extra to protect my no claims so I didn't bother and I didn't plan on having it smashed up :(

I have actually emailed them as I thought going down the route of drift car repairers might give me some leads. As it goes I've been in contact with a guy called mitch from driftworks and he has a bumper and a wing so I have to phone him tomorrow to organise getting them back :)

Just seen this mate, really hope you can get it sorted :( I'm still paying through the nose for the aftermath of an accident I had a few years back in my last car. I'd change insurer but because of 'high risk' post code (despite this being an area with relatively little crime compared to the rest of the town) means I can't reliably get quotes from many other places and not enough NCB to get specialist insurance.

Daft question, but for any parts you still need could you get them through your importer if necessary? No idea how much you'd be talking but just throwing it out there.

Best of luck getting it all repaired though.

I've been in contact with torque gt to get some bits but I've had an idea of making spats and the front part of the skirt at work. I can copy the good sides I have and mirror them on our CAD system then get them built out of polycarbonate. So depending how it goes I maybe making some sets of rear spats to sell if they come out ok. But first priority is to get the body straightened out. Found 3 local garages that all have jigs so just got to send them photos. Got the wing and bumper to tart up in the meantime too :)

Wow, really sorry to hear this mate. I literally have only just come across this post today. I cant believe someone would do this and get away with it.

If it was my car, I would use whatever power I had to find the prick that did this. But then again Im not so forgiving when it comes to my car lol.

Its a real shame, as I had only just met you with your new s15 a couple of weeks back at santa pod and I could tell the that you were really proud of it ;)

Well atleast people now can see the reasons as to why I am sooo paranoid about the condition of my own S15 and where I park it and how I drive it.

Anyway mate, I really do hope you find the guy and that you are able to restore your s15 to its former glory.

If worst comes to the worst mate, like the others said, claim on your insurance and take your time on choosing a replacment car that you can enjoy. It may not be another S15, but Im sure theres another car out there thats right for you.

second this, insurance companies talk up the no claims bonus. no point having them if you are not going to claim, may as well drive around and just pay the fines when you get pulled up, most good companies have a no claims bonus protection of 1 or 2 claims per year and you get too keep your no claims bonus..... think you should look at changing to what the rest of the UK boys on here use

I'm with bell (which is the same as admiral and elephant). I know claiming would be so much more simple but if they do load my insurance then I'm shafted both ways. Stripped the car out over the weekend and I don't think it is as bad as I first feared. It will need jigging but any garage worth their sort should be able to do it no problem. The guy I initially went to see I'm not going to use as I didn't get good vibes that he really wanted to do it (probably because its not insurance work). A local garage to me seems keen to do it and they have 2 massive sonar jigs and everything looks proffesional and clean even the reception bit as apposed to an old guy in a boiler suit! I was actually recommended to them by a friend so if the price is right (cash of course) and the job is done properly then I think I will go with them.

Oh by the way they're called barney sands if anyone needs a car straightened haha!
