Looks good mate, surprised Nicely didnt give you a grilling over the above :p
How do you find your vertex kit, i.e. does it fit ok ?
hmm...why would nicely give me a grilling with 555cc injectors?
vertex kit......rear bar, side skirts perfect fit....the panel beter even said it was a good job, the fibre glass is strong and is very thin compared to many other...its as thin as an original vertex kit (my mate has an origianl kit and measure them...same thickness)...front bar is slighlty off...up to 5mm on the passenger side but nothing an oversized washer can't force into place hahaha
hey jasmin...yeah i love these wheels, but there is something about my old p1's that gave it an edge of these, i just can't pick it!
i may just get another set of p1s again down the track again so i can tkae it to the track (fingers crossed by the end of the year) and bye bye the other luxuries in the car!
nice colour lol!

hahaha
still working on the misses....gotta send her to get some liposuction to lose the unwanted weight, get her to improve hre insides as well before we start takling about little s16s
hmm...why would nicely give me a grilling with 555cc injectors?
I wouldn't. :p
But since you brought it up. 555s are a complete waste of money IMHO. Standard injectors are 480s, so that's an increase of only 75cc over standard. When 555s and 740s cost exactly the same, why buy the 555s when you could get a 260cc increase for the same money?
To put it into perspective. With the recommended industry standard for duty cycle (maxxing at 80%), I should be running 630cc injectors if I'm chucking out 207KW...

So its not the genuine vertex kit?? I have the original vertex kit (or so i'm told) front and rear bumpers fit well, but the sideskirts dont, this could be as they were fitted poorly originally
the kit only cost me 750 aud compared to 2500au of the genuine
and i haven't had problems at all...fits pretty schmick
however the skirt of my friends one fit much nicer

well done mate really like urs i think its the silver i like that on the S15 duno why they didnt have it in that colour anyway
Looks Very well. I'm a fan of the vertex kit anyway. Also like the gauges not to sure on wheels tho..
vertex is EVERYWHERE in Sydney lol
here's a pic of my car with my old wheels next to my mates s15...he has the genuine vertex kit on his car
i just need to play with the offset, camber and tyre size on my rear to make the volks look nicer...and get the proper profiles on the front!

the genuine vertex bumpers are very thin, a friend of mine in nz had imported in a genuine vertex full kit, found out that it wasnt as strong as copy ones
btw what colour was the car originally? :D
I am not very confident in them, they are thin, but not too thin, if you know what i mean ;)
Two very smart cars there, i should of been in that photo as one of the Vertex Crew :p
Topper haha cruise down to Australia :D not really That far aye? :D
U find vertex kit everywhere in Australia lol

How long do you think it would take by car?? few weeks prob.... Noone anygood with Photoshop  :D
I've got the only Vertex covered S15 in Scoland, maybe even the UK (that we know of)
i love the look of a S15 + vertex + aero spolier :D

the car was originally pewter
when i got the kit fitted, i wanted to get a few dints fixed and thought why not, so got the rest of the car resprayed...took me about 2 weeks, driving to heaps of car yards to see what color i liked!
oh yeah, its a genuine vertex rear spoiler too
looks good mate, post more pics, engine/interior etc.
Khoala,
Does your vertex front bumper dip under the headlights? I just bought a non genuine kit recently and getting it fitted at the workshop at the moment, and mine dips.
sweet ride man the vertex kit would have to be the best looking kit for the s15 and that silver awsome diff compared to the pewter
Update on my car :)
As of last week i've got my car back, the new additions to the family are;
Pirelli Dragons on the Rear 255/35/18
Toyo SW (TASW) on the front 225/40/18
Nismo engine and transmission mounts
ORC 409DS with lighten flywheel and Redline lightweight shockproof
(single plate, heavy duty with damper and silencer)
All engine seals replaced
Head reconditioned
Trust metal head gasket 1.2mm with87mm bored
Trust Rocker arm stoppers
Aluminium intake pipe
New oil pump
HKS Step 1 cams (256/264 and i think 10.5 and 10 lift as no valve springs are require for this)
Replaced my vertical cusco catch can with a horizontal mount kazama catch can that is fitted on the fan shroud using the cusco spring hose
Cusco Brake Master Cylinder stopper
Braided brake lines front and rear with Motul RFB600
Braided Clutch line (installed over a year ago but forgot to add)
Slotted rda rotors front and rear
Endless SSS front pads
To be done before the end of the year
Trust Oil pan (sitting in my room)
Trust Oil cooler kit
Koyo radiator
car still needs a tune right now but low end feels crazy
Also
the ice in the boot has been removed, yes, i have a boot now!
so the 2 subs, the 2 amps, capacitor and obviously the custom boot install is gone.
All the stinger cabling removed.
(Moving it all over to gf's dc5)
Have replaced it with
Rear speakers
-removed the stock and replaced it with Jaycar Response 6.5" woofer rated at 80watts rms
New Clarion APX2404 (or something like that, their new range, 4*60watts rms)
Aeropro 4 channel amp wiring kit used
Aeropro digital positive gold terminal
Aeropro negative gold terminal
I swear i've got something else....
Ah yes,
Bride Ergo II on the way (in black with the logo thingy)
Have ordered genuine bride Type RX rails for passenger and driver side
Will use the ergo temporarily as driver until i order the Brix II in a couple months!
Nice :)
Less show more go
Seems like alot of stuff has happened recently.
Must feel great to have the car back :)
 Bet that all makes a difference
Rear speakers
-removed the stock and replaced it with Jaycar Response 6.5" woofer rated at 80watts rms
Very interested to hear more about these  Are they a sub-woofer or just a bass speaker?? and are you replacing both rear speaker with these??
Nice spec list, should notice a difference in performance with just remocing your ICE :D
:EDIT: Is this the baby?? (http://www.jaycar.com.au/productView.asp?ID=CW2135&CATID=15&keywords=&SPECIAL=&form=CAT&ProdCodeOnly=&Keyword1=&Keyword2=&pageNumber=&priceMin=&priceMax=&SUBCATID=383) Do they work well??
http://www.jaycar.com.au/productResults.asp?FORM=CAT
no, these are the babies, the kevlar ones.
they are classified as subwoofers in the jaycar site
they replaced both my rear parcel shelf speakers
thing to note with these are it does sound good, sound great if you are in the backseat however if you don't have them in small enclosure (i don't) you can't turn it up that loud at all, in this case, the stock speakers have a better sound to it.
there is a lot of movement with the cone so you will need to mount it from underneath the shelf (as it hits the grill) rather then dropping it through the top and for some reason you need to redrill the holes in the parcel as they do not align with each other.
the other option to this is the more expensive one, but same really are the JL audio ones, however i think they cost twice as much and are only 6" so you would need a custom baffle to fit it in
Update again
Okay, after so long, i can't stand having next to no bass, so what have i done...
I've purchased a Clarion 12" 4ohm dual coil sub woofer (PXW1252) with a prefabricated enclosure, running the dual ohm sub in series, bridge the rear chanel of the amps to run at 2ohms also, bass punches hard, and jammed it between the rear power window motor and floor then drilled it in with a bracket.
Also, my Bride Egro 2 with the gradation has arrived and is in my car :)
was tite at the start, but after a month, very comfortable, and i don't think its tight enough anymore so will be moving it over soon and getting the brix 2 :)
Rolled the rear guards to accomodate the new alignment and wheels
using NGK copper plugs now instead of the iridiums that were in there
replace the q45 afm with z32 afm, to be tuned sat week
Have order Cusco Toe Rod and is on the way from Japan.
Did i mention i got Rays wheel nuts in blue as well :P
Made the BOV atmo
Found out the coilovers are 10/8kg
stiffen the dampers up to 3 clicks from hardest
Next up on the list is the radiator, so saving for that
and possibly kazama castor arm
Did i mention that i cracked my front bar and possibly damage my front LH fender hitting my friends driveway???
Been a bit busy then... :D
10/8kgs  have you still got your own teeth :D
its suprisingly still comfortable....
but those last 3 clicks on the damper...its harsh....
the ride is firm, grips well (can throw the tail out easily if i wanted to)
can't wait til after the tune to really feel the cams come in for a kick!
i played with the setting, running a tad rich at the moments, but cams feel great :)
where's the update pics mate? :)
well, just got the car back from the tuners :)
although this dyno does seem a little number happy (just remove roughly 10-15kws i think), still give you an idea of what i have got.
i've got a z32 instead of the q45 now
i've installed the cusco toe arms
the cusco rear upper arms will replace the generic arms i have on right now on thursday
and will book it in for re-alignment this weekend!
still using standard turbo
i attempted to do the camber arms myself....broke my driver! hahaha
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g142/kbear_s15/untitled.jpg
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g142/kbear_s15/untitled2.jpg
i need to get the a/f fixed up at around 124 and 134km/h speed when flat footing
knock hit 82 for a millisecond
wanna bring it down so it never passes 50 even on a hot day with aircon on
for the tune my sbc id3 settings are set = 70, gain = 18
giving me boost pressure of 17.5psi or 1.23 bar
That's alot of horsies :)
You run the stock cams and turbo?
I'm a little curious how much a S15 with stock turbo and aftermarket cams can put out.
I was having a mental block looking at that figure, but have just realised that its 307rwbhp.
 :notworthy:
Feel it may have possibly plucked that torque figure out of the air though... :p
.....
Feel it may have possibly plucked that torque figure out of the air though... :p
I think that the torque readings becomes strange when it's measured directly at the wheels without compensating for gearbox and diff ratios.
yeh 229 seems like good figures for stock turbs, got any other info? cams? timing?
sorry...i did mention in an earlier post that there are hks cams in there
256/264 10 and 10.5 lift
there isn't much power up until 90km/hr which is good for normal street driving and when i want some power, between 90-140 is where all the power is....
love the feeling of lag!
the turbo spools up nice and quick and stops at 17.5 psi
i initially thought (didn't think about it too much) that 17psi was roughly 1.1bar...hahaha was i wrong, only realised after i got him to tune it my boost guage warning light kept turning on coz i set it to 1.1.
really wanna take it for a 1/4 and see what i run in full street trim
timing...no...need to play with that a bit more that's why the peak power kinda whittle down a bit...tuner said something about need more timing.
eitherway, car feels awesome and is running healthy!
lol 17.5psi = 1.19bar, so almost 1.2 bar :) i'm going to run just under 1.1bar (16psi) with gain of 18 on sbc id3, similar mods except for cams, going to get it tuned at the end of the month, hopefully ill crack 200kw :P
btw, the ergo 2 is slimmer than the brix 2, so if you move to the brix it will be looser, go for something like zeta3 and that will be tight :D
That's very nice for a stock turbo!
I now know mines got a bit more left... :p
Wow that's very nice power for a stock turbo....think that is very close to the max hp that a stock turbo can run...
btw, the ergo 2 is slimmer than the brix 2, so if you move to the brix it will be looser, go for something like zeta3 and that will be tight :D
really?
i thought the ergo 2 was designed to give you more shoulder room (hence why most ppl get this for the passenger) and teh brix 2 for the driver?
lol 17.5psi = 1.19bar, so almost 1.2 bar :) i'm going to run just under 1.1bar (16psi) with gain of 18 on sbc id3, similar mods except for cams, going to get it tuned at the end of the month, hopefully ill crack 200kw :P
are you sure?
on my id3
i hit max boost at 17.5
then change it to bar mode (the kg/something)
and it reads 1.23
my boost guage also reads just over 1.2 as well
whats the conversion?
just found a table on the net
http://www.britishmetrics.com/html/pis-bar.htm
1 bar = 14.504psi
17.5psi = 1.207 bar.
That's what I'm running.
i thought 14.7 = 1 bar? anyway, its only 0.2 psi of a difference even if so...

clean i like your cwest eyelids, are they fiber glass? and how do you like your coilovers. i bought the same ones today but im having second thoughts.
Gorgeous, and good spec!
Iv got that idea for the 3 air vents on the dash for when i get my s15. Do you still have aircon, and it just comes out the remaining vents? wheres the air that would come out of them been relocated to?
And love the volks, my mate has em on his mr2...look so much better in person too!
nice
There's a link in Useful Threads about fitting gauges in the vents...

fibre glass eyelids....
heat it up and double side tape it on...hahaha
as for coilovers...
lover them..yes they are a tad harsh for the street and bumps are bad..but it makes up for the downsides by the zero body roll and ability to corner faster, harder and know when you are about to lose control so u can back off....
i just added subframe bushes to it and it seems to help as well...can handle the little bumps a bit better
kinda aking back the blue bling in my engine bay as well
replace all my blue silicon hoses with black one...have them running underneath rather then over things to keep it less visible.
wrapped up a lot of the loose wires with those plastic thingy's...dunno what ir called...its got a lsit where u slide your cable in to have it looking neater...
my diff is shagged...in the market for a new one now...been shopping around
most likely end up getting a nismo 1.5 in the coming months
